Spotting Fake Shih Tzu Breeders

When you decide it is time to bring home a Shih Tzu for you and your family you want to be certain that you are getting the best start you possible can when you start life with your new pet.

You are going to need to find a good Shih Tzu breeder and this first step is one of the most important steps in the process. Finding the right breeder can make your experience in owning the dog that much better.

Your first stop should be the National Kennel Club or any other national breeder registry that you can usually find on the Internet. These registries will point you to only the most reputable breeders in your area and also give you some information about how they do business and what you can expect. If you cannot find a particular breeder in a national registry then they may not be someone you want to get a dog from.

The relationship between you and your Shih Tzu breeder extends way beyond the transaction itself. A good breeder wants to make sure you have a positive experience in owning the dog so they will make themselves available for consultation or whenever you have a question at all.

If you are having a difficult time getting a hold of a particular breeder, or they don’t seem too anxious to answer questions, then you may need to move on to a different breeder before you make a mistake.

Another good sign of a breeder is how helpful they are with your new dog’s diet. A good breeder will offer detailed advice on care and feeding of your new Shih Tzu and they also offer their own personal advice as well, based on their experience. Most breeders will also send you home with a food sample so you know what to get your dog for the future. If you are not getting any of this kind of help from your breeder then you may have a bad breeder.

When you get ready to take your new dog home from the Shih Tzu breeder the reputable breeder will offer you free pet insurance for a six week period after you leave their property. They get it as a free incentive from insurance companies and the hope of the insurance company is that you will want to continue coverage. Free pet insurance is not something a shady breeder can offer or will offer.

A good breeder can mean many things to an owner and you should make sure to discuss all of these things prior to investing in a dog from any breeder. A good breeder will also offer to take back the dog, without a refund, at any point in the dog’s life if you can no longer care for it. A good breeder is interested in the health and happiness of the dog and the satisfaction of the family that bought it.

Finding The Right Yorkshire Terrier Nutrition

Now that you have brought your new Yorkie home, you are now becoming more aware of the little bit of extra attention that you need to give when starting to select the best Yorkshire Terrier nutrition. Just as it is extremely important to watch what you eat because of health reasons, it is just as important to make sure that what you are feeding your Yorkie is completely safe and the best option for them. Remember, they cannot select their own diet and they are looking to you for guidance, as you are the one who will be taking care of them.

Too many times an owner will only take into account the price of the product thinking that all dog foods are created equal and that is simply not the case. Take special note to who the makers of the dog foods are and make sure that you read through all of the fine print and the ingredients as well. When in doubt, your local vet should be able to direct you in the right direction as to which dog food is best for your little furry friend.

When making sure that you are providing the best Yorkshire Terrier nutrition plan it is important to understand your breed of dog to understand their particular needs. The Yorkie in general, does not need a lot of food to begin with so overfeeding can be an issue if it is not monitored properly. This breed is highly prone to digestive problems and other health issues that arise from that so watching what and how much is going into their stomach is extremely important.

Even the healthiest of choices have to be taken in with moderation. By keeping an eye on feeding times and only providing food to your pup when it is time to eat and in the portion sizes that they need to have, you can help keep your puppy healthy.

Another reason besides gaining weight for watching how much your Yorkie eats is the fact that this breed is highly prone to getting different kinds of digestive and stomach issues which can be avoided by eating the right foods and in the right amounts. Making sure that your pup gets the necessary nutrition, you will be giving your pup the gift of love and compassion, as you want the very best for him or her.

The fact is though, that not every type of dog food is suitable for every type of dog. The cheapest are not always the worst for your dog and the most expensive are not always the best for your dog’s nutrition.

Your best bet is to talk one on one with your vet and discuss your concerns for selecting the perfect diet for your Yorkie. He or she can give you plenty of tips on what to look for and what you would want to avoid in foods for your dog.

Also, he or she may even suggest trying to make your own dog food at home. By using different Yorkshire Terrier dog food recipes you will be able to control exactly what is and what isn’t in the diet of your precious pet.

Choosing the Right Murder Mystery Troupe for your Party

by Eric Sharp

Murder Mystery Theater, the kind that you can hire to come to your company party or large event, is growing in popularity every day. It seems that new troupes are popping up every day in cities across America. There are several to choose from now. Why this explosion in popularity?

Because a good murder mystery is thrilling. A truly good mystery is challenging to participants. When a troupe knows what they are doing, the party-goers can escape their daily lives and be transported to a different time and place – a world full of mystery and suspense.

When you are talking with a potential murder mystery company, there are questions they should be asking to help you decide on the best set-up for your party. Would you like contemporary settings, or should we theme the party in another era like Victorian England or the Roaring Twenties? Would you like over the top actors, putting on a show, or actors that blend in with your guests and keep them guessing? Do you want a plot that is light and silly, or more serious sleuthing? Should we do a dark black comedy, or a modern Sopranos style parody?

I performed with my first mystery troupe back in 1989, when I was 23. The murder mystery party concept was still new at that time, they called it Audience Participation Theater. I performed with a campy NJ company, with ridiculous mysteries, outlandish cliche characters in feather boas. It was pure fun, and I was at home in my comedy shtick. I fell in love with the work, making people laugh, I even wrote a campy script myself. That NJ company is still using my script to this day!

When I later moved to Los Angeles, I found the murder mystery theater to be more serious out there. Actors would be placed like regular guests, you would not know who was hired and who was a real guest. The scripts had serious plots and twists. This was more compelling for the audience, with surprises and intrigue, but I noticed a lot of down time in between the excitement.

The only character that is not supposed to be a ‘blend-in’ is the lead detective. I auditioned for this important role, developing a character that was part Columbo and part Jay Leno. Improv comedy involving the participants by name, and that casual detective questioning was a perfect mix.

Finally I started my own Sharpo Mysteries, with my wife Nora. We have crafted the company to be a perfect mix of fun comedy and serious sleuthing. We write mysteries with diabolic motives, some characters that blend in, and some that are over the top to keep everyone entertained. It’s a perfect mix. The mysteries are intense and clever, but the main focus is for the participants to truly have fun. We like to add strolling magic and party starters during the cocktail hour, it’s an all encompassing entertaining night.

By asking the right questions, you can find a murder mystery company in your city that truly provides a one of a kind experience. This perfect mix of mystery and comedy will leave your guests talking about this event for years!
